Dubai Design Week 12th Edition Scheduled

The upcoming festival in Dubai Design District will feature regional designers and international brands.

Dubai Design Week is scheduled to take place from 3 to 8 November 2026. The 12th edition of the festival will be hosted across the Dubai Design District (d3) and will focus on Middle Eastern design, craft, and culture. The programming includes various exhibitions, site-specific installations, and talks.

The headline event of the festival is Downtown Design, an annual fair running from 4 to 8 November. This fair will feature regional and global design brands, manufacturers, and makers. The exhibition will include furniture, textiles, lighting, and kitchen and bathroom products. Among the scheduled activities is an exhibition by Memphis Milano, which will focus on the geometric forms and colors used by Ettore Sottsass during the 1980s. Additionally, designer Yinka Ilori will create a lounge for Veuve Clicquot to host parties and talks.

The UAE Designer Exhibition will also return as part of the 2026 edition. This platform is designed for emerging talent within the emirate and operates in both B2B and B2C environments. Under the theme Inherited Futures, the exhibition will feature the work of 30 UAE-based designers. Working with design collaborator AlZaina Lootah, these contributors will focus on materiality, form, and technology to create products that are durable, high-quality, and referential to cultural contexts.

Several global architecture and design entities are scheduled to provide installations across the district. These include Nikken Sekkei, Sobokuya, Aestudio, Alter, Palm, and Palazzo. Other contributors to the district-wide installations include Dubai Duette Studio, architect Rasha Saffarini, Avid Learning Middle East, and the craft group Dakhnii Diaries.

The festival's programming also includes the Urban Commission competition, which is set to showcase the winning proposal from a Dubai-based source. The event serves as a platform for both established and emerging designers to present work within the creative hub of d3.

Takeaway: Dubai Design Week 2026 will run from 3 to 8 November in the Dubai Design District.
